FOUNDERS DIARY: ENTRY 19.11.24: Reclaiming My Story: The Journey Behind JNB<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josh\u2019s Niche Bureau (JNB) was born from a life shaped by constant change. At one point, I held a role many would aspire to\u2014built on my passions. Yet, beneath the surface, I felt overwhelmed and disconnected. I was hitting every goal but felt far removed from what truly mattered\u2014myself, my life, and my purpose. It wasn\u2019t until I faced what felt like a second burnout and was eventually let go that I realised how far I\u2019d strayed from my values and passions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, I had let go of my marriage and the self-awarded badges of honour that once defined me: homeowner, husband, successful professional. I found myself alone and disoriented, my identity fractured. Losing my professional footing on top of it all was a jarring wake-up call. But as harsh as it was, it became the catalyst I needed to confront my reality. I\u2019d been driving on the right highway, but I kept missing my turn, stuck in the wrong lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That moment forced me to pause and reassess. I had a chance to rebuild\u2014not just my career but my life\u2014on my own terms. To bring some purpose and structure during this transformative time, I began writing a series of four books. This ongoing project became a welcome respite from the chaos I had created for myself and my dog, Birkin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t an instant transformation. I started asking myself questions I had long avoided: What truly brings me joy? What strengths do I want to nurture? How can I use them to help others? I realised that I wasn\u2019t alone\u2014so many people feel stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected from their work. They yearn for purpose but often find themselves trapped in roles that drain them, unable to see a clear path forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From this understanding, JNB began to take shape. It\u2019s more than a business\u2014it\u2019s a reflection of my journey and a rejection of the one-size-fits-all approach to success. It\u2019s about embracing individuality and building bespoke solutions for people and organisations. I\u2019ve always believed in being my authentic self, but it took time to feel comfortable in my own skin. With JNB, I wanted to create a space that celebrates uniqueness and adaptability, helping others do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JNB\u2019s focus spans wellness, consulting, project management, lifestyle, and image\u2014fields where I\u2019ve gained deep, personal, and professional experience. I\u2019ve seen how much our environment, how we present ourselves, and the work we engage in impact our overall well-being. True success isn\u2019t just about meeting business objectives; it\u2019s about aligning those goals with the well-being of the individuals driving them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This belief also inspired the JNB Collective\u2014a community for clients, contributors, and like-minded individuals. It\u2019s a space where ideas can be shared, and meaningful connections can be made. I know firsthand the value of a supportive network during times of change, and the Collective offers that without requiring anyone to take on formal services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting JNB was about reclaiming my narrative and offering others the tools to do the same. It\u2019s about championing adaptability, continuous learning, and creative problem-solving tailored to each person\u2019s unique journey. Whether you need image consulting, interim services, or simply a fresh perspective, JNB is here to support you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t regret the challenges or successes that have brought me here. Every step\u2014no matter how uncomfortable\u2014has shaped both me and the mission of JNB. If there\u2019s one thing I\u2019ve learned, it\u2019s that growth often comes from discomfort. It\u2019s in those moments of change that we find the courage to redefine success on our terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
